2006 - MCS vianova
MCS presents the new umbrella brand name MCS vianova at ITeG in Frankfurt. MCS AG combined its special solutions for ambulances, clinical workplaces and laboratories into a single integral solution for clinics, in the form of MCS vianova.
2006 – medatiXX: big in the healthcare market
With the joint venture of MCS Arzt- und Ambulanzsysteme GmbH and DOCexpert Computer GmbH, both companies serve about 21 % of practice management systems market in Germany.
2004 – Anniversary year
2004 was the 30th anniversary of the founding of MCS AG. Since 1974 MCS has been developing and marketing innovative software solutions for the healthcare sector, initially for medical laboratories and then for doctor’s surgeries and hospitals. MCS sees in its anniversary year as an innovative service provider in the IT field with more than 12,000 users across Europe.
2002 – MCS presents the latest generation of its laboratory software
This latest generation of lab information system, which uses a graphical user interface, offers all the features available in today’s Windows-based world.
2002 – Commitment to the hospital sector
MCS AG acquires a major holding in the Swiss company Parametrix Solutions AG and thus consolidates its commitment to the hospital sector. Phoenix, the clinical workplace system for medicine and care, is already the market leader in Switzerland. MCS now intends to use Phoenix to enter the clinical workplace systems market in Germany as well.
2001 – Takeover of greenLAB
In taking over parts of the firm greenLAB systems GmbH, MCS acquires a software solution used in IVF (in vitro fertilisation) centres.
2000 – HTML diagnostic information system
MCS develops the first HTML diagnostic information system for use in laboratories.
1999 – Anniversary year
MCS celebrates its anniversary: for 25 years now, MCS has been providing innovative software solutions for doctors, hospitals and laboratories. MCS has furthermore been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange for the past 15 years. In the 10th year of its history, MCS moved its headquarters to Eltville in the beautiful Rhine District.
1998 – Expansion abroad
MCS acquires holdings in Swiss companies and continues to develop its business in the laboratory sector with the acquisition of a majority interest in DEMTEC. Work is also done with PROMED-open systems for the first time in Liechtenstein and the Netherlands. In Austria, the foundation and majority interest in MCS Laborinformationssysteme Ges. mbH, Vienna, opens the door to the Austrian market, which offers rich potential for growth.
1998 – MCS-ISYNET
The newly developed practice system for Windows 95/98/NT is successfully established on the German market.
1994 – PROMED-open successfully introduced
MCS launches the PROMED-open laboratory computer system on the occasion of MEDICA.
1992 – Laboratory computer systems
MCS makes its laboratory computer systems even more high-performanced by introducing new controlling functions, archiving the systems permanently on laser disks and integrating them into hospital information systems.
1990 – Health insurance card
MCS is the only exhibitor at MEDICA to propose the manufacture and reading of health insurance cards.
1989 – RABBIT hospital information system
MCS releases RABBIT, the first open and standardised hospital laboratory computer system.
1986 – Remote data transmission
MCS realises the first installations for remote data transmission in laboratories using a modem and an acoustic coupler.
1984 – Microbiology system
MCS installs the first microbiology system for laboratory doctors, operated by means of marker cards.
1984 – MCS floated on the stock exchange
After the GmbH (limited company) is converted to an AG (public limited company), MCS is floated on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
1982 – Introduction of microprocessors
MCS installs the first laboratory computer to use microprocessors.
1978 – Specimen distributor for the laboratory sector
MCS obtains a patent for a computer-supported laboratory specimen distribution system.
1976 – Integrated laboratory community solution
MCS develops a solution that can be used by doctors via a computer system for laboratory medicine and the lab community.
